5 Dicembre 2015, Legacy Recordings, la divisione catalogo di Sony Music Entertainment, ha acquisito i diritti a livello mondiale per quanto riguarda le registrazioni de The Kinks incise tra il 1971 e il 1985.
Sony Music ex. North America controllerà ora il catalogo dei Kinks col materiale 1971- 1985 RCA e Arista insieme alle registrazioni 1964-1971 della band date in licenza a Sony Music via BMG Rights.
Ray Davies, recentemente entrato a far parte della Songwriters Hall of Fame, ha dichiarato: “It is terrific to be reunited with the company that inspired and was involved with one of the finest Kinks albums, Phobia.”
